A long time ago, the Guardians of the Universe, the first race of sentient beings to ever exist, harnessed the power of the green element, the greatest power imaginable, to create the Green Lantern battery. However, the battery was vulnerable to the color yellow, the one part of the light spectrum that could resist green. The Guardians hid the most concentrated source of yellow energy, the yellow element, to prevent others from using it against them.
Each of the ride's five cars are themed to resemble shuriken. The entrance of the ride was marked by a 10-foot (3.0 m)-tall lantern icon that glowed green at night.[9] The Green Lantern battery was located at the entrance of the ride.[26]

50 years ago this month marks the anniversary of the first flight ever hijacked flying out of Nashville. Or if you'd prefer something cheerier, continue scrolling down to see photos around Nashville during the holiday season.
Considering how in our modern day and age, seeing (and hearing) airplanes regularly cross Nashville's skies does not appear to make us think twice, doesn't it make you wonder what life must have been like when the first forms of flight were being tested? I suppose to us, it would literally be like seeing pigs fly. Almost. Well Metro Archives is attempting to answer that question. Starting March 28th and running through May 31st, there will an exhibit in Metro Archives highlighting the advancement of aviation technology as Nashville experienced it.
** Original programming: "The Mandalorian," the first live-action "Star Wars" series; an Obi-Wan Kenobi series; a new "High School Musical" series; Marvel series "Loki," "Hawkeye," "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier," and "Wanda Vision;" movies "Lady and the Tramp," "Noelle" and "Togo"
